'The Ritual'

For the launch of Sunbeam’s new Origins Espresso Machines, we delivered a rhythm-driven commercial designed to elevate the everyday coffee ritual.

Working alongside our friends at Bounce Creative, the campaign was created to reignite the joy of at-home coffee for Australian consumers. The messaging embraced simplicity, celebrating those small, rhythmic morning moments that feel both personal and energising.

A key creative layer was the collaboration with music producer Liam Quinn (Ruel, Lime Cordiale, Guy Sebastian, Peach PRC), who built a bespoke track using sounds derived directly from the coffee machine itself. Steam bursts, button clicks and extraction notes became percussion; turning the ritual into rhythm.

Our production approach centred on momentum and precision. Each shot was captured like a music video, synchronised tightly to the custom beat. We leaned into warm morning hues, contemporary styling and expressive wide-angle lenses to create a punchy, energised visual language that felt distinctly Sunbeam.

Campaign photography was crafted in tandem by Brett Hemmings, moving swiftly between takes to maximise the schedule and round out the asset suite.

The result is a commercial that feels simple, joyful and full of life; a reminder that great coffee isn’t just made, it’s experienced.
